Blazor Web Assembly is in preview in ASP.NET Core 3.1 so you need to install it on your Ubuntu system before you can build apps with this new technology using C#, HTML and CSS.

These are the instructions to install ASP.NET Core 3.1 on Ubuntu 20.04/Ubuntu 19.04. Open a new terminal and run the following command:

wget https://packages.microsoft.com/config/ubuntu/19.10/packages-microsoft-prod.deb -O packages-microsoft-prod.deb
sudo dpkg -i packages-microsoft-prod.deb

Install the .NET Core SDK

Update the products available for installation, then install the .NET Core SDK. In your terminal, run the following commands.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install dotnet-sdk-3.1

Install the ASP.NET Core runtime

Update the products available for installation, then install the ASP.NET Core runtime. In your terminal, run the following commands.

sudo apt-get install aspnetcore-runtime-3.1

That’s it you can now use Blazor Web Assembly to build your app with C# and HTML.
