At the time of writing this answer, Vue 3 is still in alpha, so you can’t install it via npm like Vue 2 but clone the project
vue-next-webpack-preview from GitHub which provides a minimal Webpack setup including Vue 3. Open a new command-line interface and run the following command:
$ git clone https://github.com/vuejs/vue-next-webpack-preview.git vue3-example
Next, navigate to your cloned project and install the dependencies from npm as follows:
$ cd vue3-example
$ npm install
That’s it you now have a project with Vue 3 installed that you can play with to discover the new features coming with Vue 3.
